Nusrat Zabeen Islam has completed Master’s degree in 2010-2012 with Human Resource Management major and BSC Engineering in 2003-2008, has been involved with the grassroots Network to promote voluntarism for establishing Good Governance and Human Rights from 2013 by providing capacity building, campaign, networking and motivation. She was born in Kagoshima, Japan, in 1985. Recently she has completed certificate course on “People Management skills” from University of Dhaka which developed her knowledge of leadership and Programme Management. She enriched her knowledge and professional growth thereby contributing to the democracy and good governance and promotion of social justice in Bangladesh for last couple of years. She is involved to build a nationwide network comprising 200 grassroots NGOs to establish Good Governance and Human Rights in Bangladesh. She started her career from 2009 and has worked relentlessly for establishing the rights of working women in leather sector and involved for capacity building and awareness to sensitize them in an efficient manner.

Now she is working for MAAPSI Bangladesh from 2014 as a Programme Officer, HR & Communications. She handle recruitment procedure & process of appointment, performance management, Staff Training and Development, Prepare and implement organizational HR policy.

She develops and implements Communications Plans to convey MAAPSI achievements & results. She supervises official publications ensuring application of MAAPSI Style Guide. She provides communications support for announcements. She is responsible for ongoing communications activities such as responding to inquiries, maintaining calendar of events and communications mailing lists and evaluating the impact of key communications tools.
