Direct, supervise & operate all the activities within Finance & Accounts function and play strategic role to ensure that business decisions are grounded in sound financial criteria; providing concrete analysis to support the Managing Director and Board of Directors.
Finance Policies and Guidelines
–          Preparation of Finance Policies and Guidelines, ensure periodic update and adherence to Policies and Guideline as a custodian.

–          Developed the procurement policy, delegation of power & authorization approval policy, fixed asset policy and asset register.

Finance and Accounts Supervision
–          Ensure timely preparation of MIS and communication with top management in respect to past performance, targets and forecasts.

Project Finance
Successfully pursued approval of project term loan for 7 years:

–          BDT 220 million at the rate of 12% effectively

–          FCY loan of US$ 6.7 million at the rate of 7 % effectively.

–          Meeting & liaison with BOI & Bangladesh Bank regarding approval of FCY loan.

–          Mortgage documents reviewed & finalized after close meeting and negotiation with club finance participants

 

Financial Planning
–          Cash flow plan, fund requirement for Share call with approval from BOD meeting, quarterly forecast and CAPEX related plan.

–          Ensure prudent commercial planning regarding L/C opening and L/C retirement in line with project roadmap thereby optimizing finance cost.

 

Treasury Management
–          After joining, I opened SND account replacing non-interest bearing current account to get best possible interest rate on average account balance.

–          And continuously reviewed cash flow projection to make best use of fund available while taking account the opportunity cost; i.e. FDR & other securities.

Procurement
–          In tendering of piling work, I contributed to save BDT 80 lac by selecting new contractor other than the primarily selected one by shifting some scope of work within Company;
